Each year, we put the spotlight on nonprofit and cause-driven films by hosting the world's first film festival dedicated entirely to the films-for-a-cause genre.

Nonprofits, grassroots organizations, film makers and enthusiasts get together to celebrate this unique and important art form.

Lights. Camera. Help. donates all of the festival's proceeds to the winners. Learn more.

Last week's event was a huge success with a good number of attendees, some fantastic snacks, and truly eye-opening films and speakers.  We kicked things off with Shine A Light on Human Rights, a short film made by Amnesty International in celebration of their 50th anniversary.  We then went right into Defensora o Chiqui, a feature length documentary about a woman fighting for human and indigenous rights in Colombia.  This was a particularly moving piece that really highlighted ways in which the political turmoil can and does affect innocent people.
